GLAD Hip and Knee Program

Hip and Knee
Hip and Knee

GLAD Hip and Knee Program is an evidence-based education and exercise program developed by researchers in Denmark for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis symptoms. It was then brought to Australia in 2016 to help Australians with hip or knee osteoarthritis.

What does GLAD Hip and Knee Program involve?

This education and exercise program reflects the latest evidence in osteoarthritis (OA) research. It includes what works in the real world to help patients manage Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis (OA) symptoms.

GLAD® Hip program and Knee program are delivered at Exercise Matters by our OA expert: Jarrad Greentree. The initial consultation forms the foundation of the GLAD program. It entails the assessment, education and exercise plan which are then individually graduated over the course of 8 weeks. Please contact Jarrad on 5448 3532 if you have any questions or would like to book in to undertake this program.

Hip and Knee

The GLAD knee program focuses on helping people with knee osteoarthritis through exercises and education that improve strength, movement, and pain relief. It uses a step-by-step approach to help you regain control of your condition. Our hip program works similarly, improving hip strength and flexibility. Together, both programs give a complete solution to manage osteoarthritis and help you feel better in everyday life.

Why You’ll Love the GLAD Hip and Knee Program:

  • The GLAD hip program helps calm that stubborn hip pain and makes moving feel less like a struggle.

  • How to select between a Noosa Physio and Exercise Physiologist?
Physio and Exercise Physiologist's are both allied health professionals, and there is often a cross-over in the patients we treat. However, the simplest way to examine the difference is that Physio's are best for treating acute injuries and use hands-on massage as a treatment approach. If you have just injuried yourself, then a Physio is the best health professional to book in with. If you have had an issue lasting longer than 6 weeks, then an Exercise Physiologist is the best health professional to manage the issue.
  • Best Massage Therapist in Noosa?
As an Exercise Physiology clinic in Noosa, we don't offer massage as a treatment. Instead, we use exercise to treat, to provide long-term relief from pain and not just short-term symptom relief. We get asked daily about the best massage therapist in Noosa and the surrounding suburbs, so here are some we recommend: Kimberly Coppola: https://www.whitecoat.com.au/directory/practitioner/remedial-massage-therapist/qld/noosa-heads/ms-kimberley-coppola/149365/940 Liam Walsh https://thrivemindandbody.com.au/ Cache Carpenter https://www.thebodycarpentermassage.com/ Cam Petrie https://kneadamassagenoosa.com.au/#Home
