Not all exercise is created equal and not all exercise is effective. Research has demonstrated that only certain types of exercise improve bone health. Onero ™ classes on the Sunshine Coast are an osteoporosis treatment program designed specifically to prevent fractures by stimulating bone development and reducing fall risk. Onero ™ is a highly targeted exercise program that uses resistance and impact exercises (including core strengthening and balance training) to stimulate bone and muscle.

Onero ™ at Exercise Matters
To be safe and effective an exercise program must be supervised by a physiotherapist or accredited exercise physiologist who is trained and Licensed to deliver the Onero ™program. The AEP team at Exercise Matters Exercise are qualified to deliver Onero ™ to our clients who are either at-risk of or are diagnosed with osteoporosis. Onero ™ is appropriate for adults of any age wishing to reduce their risk of osteoporotic fracture.
One of the great features of Onero ™ is that you don’t need to exercise everyday, in fact research has found that just twice a week is enough to stimulate bone, improve muscle and help prevent falls. Exercise Matters recommends attending at least 2 sessions a week to get the maximum benefit.
To start Onero ™ we recommend a visit to your local GP as you may be eligible for a medicare rebate. If you are not eligible you may be able to claim the cost of your visit through private health insurance.
