Knee Rehabilitation Exercises

Exercise is Medicine

Knee pain and injury can be debilitating.

We treat knee pain and injuries by designing a specific knee rehabilitation program to restore movement and reduce pain for long-term injuries and knee conditions.

Our knee rehabilitation program includes strengthening exercises, mobility work, and recovery techniques to help you feel better.  If you’re recovering from surgery, managing arthritis, or have a sports injury, we've got a safe and structured approach to improve your knee health.

Knee Pain Rehab

Exercise Physiology Treatment For Knee Injuries

We treat a wide range of knee issues, from major knee injuries and post-surgery rehab to older clients managing osteoarthritis. Every exercise for knee injuries in our program is customised to decrease pain and regain strength and mobility. Every knee issue is unique, so your program is completely tailored to your specific needs.

Knee injuries commonly treated by exercise physiology include:

  • Pre-Post Knee surgery

  • Patellofemoral pain syndrome (kneecap pain, including runners knee)

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Degenerative and traumatic meniscal (cartilage) tears

  • Patella tendinopathy

Exercise Physiology Treatment Program

The treatment plan is based on your knee injury, the results of your physical assessment, your goals, and your level of exercise confidence. Whilst every client's knee injury is unique, your treatment plan will typically progress through four major stages.

1. Regain your full range of motion and look for knee rehabilitation exercises you can do right away without aggravating your pain.
2. Reactivate local knee muscles and begin specific strength training exercises.
3. Correction of whole-body biomechanical factors, such as hip and ankle biomechanics, that are contributing to your pain.
4. Returning to full activities of daily living.

  • How to select between a Noosa Physio and Exercise Physiologist?
Physio and Exercise Physiologist's are both allied health professionals, and there is often a cross-over in the patients we treat. However, the simplest way to examine the difference is that Physio's are best for treating acute injuries and use hands-on massage as a treatment approach. If you have just injuried yourself, then a Physio is the best health professional to book in with. If you have had an issue lasting longer than 6 weeks, then an Exercise Physiologist is the best health professional to manage the issue.
  • Best Massage Therapist in Noosa?
As an Exercise Physiology clinic in Noosa, we don't offer massage as a treatment. Instead, we use exercise to treat & provide long-term relief from pain. We get asked daily about the best massage therapist in Noosa and the surrounding suburbs, so here are some we recommend: Felicity Broadbent (Mobile Remedial Massage Therapist) https://www.bodyhealthaustralia.com/ Kimberly Coppola: https://www.whitecoat.com.au/directory/practitioner/remedial-massage-therapist/qld/noosa-heads/ms-kimberley-coppola/149365/940 Liam Walsh https://thrivemindandbody.com.au/ Cache Carpenter https://www.thebodycarpentermassage.com/ Cam Petrie https://kneadamassagenoosa.com.au/#Home
